Welcome John C. Stokes, Lysa Friedlieb, Elizabeth "Lisa" Kehoe, and CarsonKern to the Shendell & Pollock Team!
John C. Stokes is a 2013 graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his Master of Laws in Taxation in 2013 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 2012. Mr. Stokes has been a member of the Florida Bar as of April 2013 and is also admitted to practice in all Florida State courts and the United States District Court of the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He has been working as a Litigation Attorney for 4 years where he worked on Construction Litigation, Personal Injury, Property Insurance claims, General Liability, Defense Litigation and petitions for guardianship.

Lysa Friedlieb is a 1987 graduate of State University of New York at Albany, where she received her B.A. degree cum laude in communications. Lysa received her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School College of Law in 1990.She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1991 and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States District Court of the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. In addition, she is admitted to the New York state bar.
Lysa's practice is concentrated on general liability, premise liability, complex commercial litigation, professional liability, construction defect, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. In addition to her extensive work on litigation she has been a Pro Bono Attorney for the Guardian Ad Litem Program in Miami from 1992-1999 for children’s rights and in Broward county from 1994-1997 for the right of the elder population in elder abuse cases.

Elizabeth "Lisa" Kehoe is a 2011 graduate of University of Central Florida where she received her B.S. in Marketing and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Group Icn Ecole of Management in Nancy France in Marketing. Lisa received her Juris Doctor from New England Law in 2016 She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2017 and is admitted to practice in Florida and the Southern District of Florida Federal Court. Lisa’s litigation practice is concentrated in first and third party insurance defense.
Carson Kern received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University in 2018. Prior to that Carson received his Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science from Florida State University. He has been a member of the Florida Bard since 2018 and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts.
Carson’s litigation practice focuses on general liability, professional liability, and association law. Prior to joining Shendell & Pollock, Carson worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office where he tried 25 cases to verdict. When he is not working, Carson enjoys golf, mountain biking, yoga, and cooking.
